INNER WHEEL CLUB OF WYONG SUPPORTS
WYONG NEIGHBOURHOOD CENTRE
Every year, just before winter, the Wyong Neighbourhood Centre is the recipient of about thirty adult rugs and children's rugs knitted and stitched by members and friends of the Inner Wheel Club of Wyong. This is an annual project with the rugs gratefully received for distribution to homeless clients and those families needing the centre's support and warmth in winter.
The club also helps to supplement the Neighbourhood Centre's pantry with a large quantity of tinned foods and toiletry items and items for Easter and Christmas hampers.

HOPE ALLIANCE – LHI VILLAGE, NORTH WESTERN NEPAL
HOPE ALLIANCE – LHI VILLAGE, NORTH WESTERN NEPAL. Inner Wheel continues to support Hope Alliance Lhi Village, North Western Nepal. The village was almost totally destroyed in the 2015 earthquake, including the school.
Hope Alliance is a 'not for profit' incorporated association based in Australia which coordinates projects, creates initiatives and sustainable opportunities which improve the lives, futures and education of Himalayan children and families in Nepal.
Continuing donations will assist with rebuilding and supporting families. The Lhi School, Nubri, is situated in a very remote village in north western Nepal. Lhi is at least a 6-day walk from Kathmandu, the capital. Funds provide children with a school uniform, a school lunch program that ensures a nutritious meal each day, educational resources, health checks, vitamins, teacher and project management support within the school. Two teachers are supported for 12 months. They are from Lhi, educated in the city and return to give something back to the Lhi community.
The project impacts an entire community of people and gives opportunities and health to these amazing children who live in remote and primitive conditions. The child mortality rate in the Lhi Village is 1 in 4, from preventable diseases. Sponsoring a child literally saves a life.
